Icon Resin Infiltration

We offer icon resin infiltration to treat “white spot lesions” of anterior teeth. White spot lesions are permanent lesions that can be caused by previous dental trauma (a scar on the permanent tooth that formed due to an injury during the development of the permanent tooth) or fluorosis. White spot lesions can also form following orthodontic treatment due to plaque build up and demineralization of the enamel. 

Icon resin infiltration is a minimally invasive option of trying to “blend” in the color of the lesion with the surrounding enamel. It does not require anesthesia (being numb) or drilling into the enamel. Results can vary depending on the severity of the enamel defect.
